Comments with “View” permission
• Previously, it was only possible to view associated comments on a form with the field-based-permission of "Edit" on Increase fields. Now,
users with the field-based-permission of "View" can also see comments. (Universal)
Translated XML labels for JP and CN
• SuccessStore Compensation templates have been updated to include translated XML labels for Japanese (ja_JP) and Chinese (zh_CN).

Encryption
• You can now choose to encrypt the input values of lookup table data to increase protection of sensitive table information. The system will
not encrypt lookup table output values. Please note that encrypting data for large tables might impact system performance. (Admin Opt-
in)
Abort Budget Assignment
• Now it is possible abort stalled budget assignment jobs by clearing the template’s Compensation EC Data Refresh flag through
Provisioning. (Universal)
Retirement of Custom Spreadsheet Reports
• This legacy flag of makeCustomDataReportable is relevant for custom spreadsheet type reports which will be retired with the Q2, 2020
release. So, it is recommended to set the flag to false by selecting Update Setting in the system message popping up while saving.

Retirement of Live Analytics
• It is announced that Live Analytics will be retired in the upcoming Q2, 2020 release. Live Analytics is the optional page, viewed before
entering the Variable Pay worksheet. Live Analytics displayed information in a graphical format, but was not configurable. (Universal)

Print Comp/VP/Combined Statements
• Now, employees with view statement permissions can download PDF statements of all employees from Executive Review. And, as an
admin, you can control the visibility of the bulk print icon for your employees from the "Company Settings" page. (Admin Opt-in)

• As addition to the ability to publish compensation data to Employee Central for some or all worksheets, or select worksheets on the basis
of planners, divisions, departments, and locations, as of QA release, administrators can also publish specific employees to Employee
Central or create subsets of employees based on custom filters. (Universal)

Q4 2019 Quick Preview – Compensation Management
New Total Compensation Template/Plan
• In Q4 release, two new Total Compensation features providing improvements to adding and uploading Total Compensation templates and
plans have been announced. Now it is possible to upload Total Compensation templates from the Admin Center > Compensation Home >
Add new total compensation plan page. In addition, a new option - Add a New Total Compensation Plan - has been added to the dropdown
menu: Actions - All Plans. (Universal)
Custom Validation in Total Compensation Template
• Administrators can now apply custom validation formulas to Total Compensation form fields. This functionality was introduced to
Compensation form fields in the last release. In addition, when the system registers multiple validation failures, it displays a display box
listing them all in a single message box. For a list of Warnings only, you can opt to proceed without taking further action. If there is one or
more Errors in the list, the errors must be corrected before the system will proceed.

Data purge for Incomplete Forms
• When you configure a master data purge with Data Retention Time Management (DRTM), you can now choose to include or exclude
employees who belong to incomplete compensation or variable pay forms. By default, the system excludes users from a purge when they
belong to an incomplete form. (Admin Opt-in)
Employee deletion
• Now you can delete employees from completed worksheets as well as from incomplete worksheets. The Compensation Worksheets
dropdown menu under Update Worksheets section of Manage Worksheets displays all worksheets and highlights completed worksheets
with an asterisk. (Universal)
RBP Restriction for Audit Population
• The target population for Compensation Plan Audit Activity has been restricted by means of Role-Based Permissions (RBPs). (Universal)

Impact / Importance
Localization of Categories and Levels
• As of Q4 release, administrators can localize categories and levels to different languages, so users see the labels and descriptions for
categories and levels on the basis of their locale. It is required to define new categories and levels in the system default language before
localizing to other languages. (Universal)
Point-based Programs
• Administrators can now enable points-based programs from the Rewards and Recognition Settings tab. Moreover, the additional Reward
and Recognition APIs are now available: UserRewardInfo and SpotAwardRedemption. These APIs can be used by customers and partners
to build extensions to allow employees to redeem awards in different ways.(Admin Opt-in)
Employee Nomination Action Search
• With this release, users can access the employee nomination page through search of the default keywords such as Send Spot Award, Give
Spot Award, Recognize, Reward in the Action Search bar. (Universal)
Custom images for categories and levels
• It is now possible to link custom images to categories and levels. These images must be smaller than 3 megabytes and uploaded in an
aspect ratio of 1:1 to avoid image distortion. The recommended size for images is 90 by 90 pixels. (Universal)
Redeem
• Now, employees can redeem their flex reward points using 'Redeem' on the Reward and Recognition home page, based on their role-based
permissions. And, admin with the Redemption Option permissions can create multiple reward redemption options for employees with the
available vendor. (Universal)

  • 3. 2019 Deloitte 3 Q4 2019 Quick Preview – Compensation Management H igh M edium L ow Impact / Importance Comments with “View” permission • Previously, it was only possible to view associated comments on a form with the field-based-permission of "Edit" on Increase fields. Now, users with the field-based-permission of "View" can also see comments. (Universal) Translated XML labels for JP and CN • SuccessStore Compensation templates have been updated to include translated XML labels for Japanese (ja_JP) and Chinese (zh_CN). (Admin Opt-in) Encryption • You can now choose to encrypt the input values of lookup table data to increase protection of sensitive table information. The system will not encrypt lookup table output values. Please note that encrypting data for large tables might impact system performance. (Admin Opt- in) Abort Budget Assignment • Now it is possible abort stalled budget assignment jobs by clearing the template’s Compensation EC Data Refresh flag through Provisioning. (Universal) Retirement of Custom Spreadsheet Reports • This legacy flag of makeCustomDataReportable is relevant for custom spreadsheet type reports which will be retired with the Q2, 2020 release.   • 4. 2019 Deloitte 4 Q4 2019 Quick Preview – Compensation Management Retirement of Live Analytics • It is announced that Live Analytics will be retired in the upcoming Q2, 2020 release. Live Analytics is the optional page, viewed before entering the Variable Pay worksheet. Live Analytics displayed information in a graphical format, but was not configurable. (Universal) Variable Pay H igh M edium L ow Impact / Importance Print Comp/VP/Combined Statements • Now, employees with view statement permissions can download PDF statements of all employees from Executive Review. And, as an admin, you can control the visibility of the bulk print icon for your employees from the "Company Settings" page. (Admin Opt-in) Statements M Publish back to EC • As addition to the ability to publish compensation data to Employee Central for some or all worksheets, or select worksheets on the basis of planners, divisions, departments, and locations, as of QA release, administrators can also publish specific employees to Employee Central or create subsets of employees based on custom filters.   • 5. 2019 Deloitte 5 Q4 2019 Quick Preview – Compensation Management New Total Compensation Template/Plan • In Q4 release, two new Total Compensation features providing improvements to adding and uploading Total Compensation templates and plans have been announced. Now it is possible to upload Total Compensation templates from the Admin Center > Compensation Home > Add new total compensation plan page. In addition, a new option - Add a New Total Compensation Plan - has been added to the dropdown menu: Actions - All Plans. (Universal) Custom Validation in Total Compensation Template • Administrators can now apply custom validation formulas to Total Compensation form fields. This functionality was introduced to Compensation form fields in the last release. In addition, when the system registers multiple validation failures, it displays a display box listing them all in a single message box. For a list of Warnings only, you can opt to proceed without taking further action. If there is one or more Errors in the list, the errors must be corrected before the system will proceed. Total Compensation Plan H igh M edium L ow Impact / Importance Data purge for Incomplete Forms • When you configure a master data purge with Data Retention Time Management (DRTM), you can now choose to include or exclude employees who belong to incomplete compensation or variable pay forms. By default, the system excludes users from a purge when they belong to an incomplete form. (Admin Opt-in) Employee deletion • Now you can delete employees from completed worksheets as well as from incomplete worksheets. The Compensation Worksheets dropdown menu under Update Worksheets section of Manage Worksheets displays all worksheets and highlights completed worksheets with an asterisk. (Universal) RBP Restriction for Audit Population • The target population for Compensation Plan Audit Activity has been restricted by means of Role-Based Permissions (RBPs). (Universal) Data L M L L L
  • 6. 2019 Deloitte 6 Q4 2019 Quick Preview – Compensation Management H igh M edium L ow Impact / Importance Localization of Categories and Levels • As of Q4 release, administrators can localize categories and levels to different languages, so users see the labels and descriptions for categories and levels on the basis of their locale. It is required to define new categories and levels in the system default language before localizing to other languages. (Universal) Point-based Programs • Administrators can now enable points-based programs from the Rewards and Recognition Settings tab. Moreover, the additional Reward and Recognition APIs are now available: UserRewardInfo and SpotAwardRedemption. These APIs can be used by customers and partners to build extensions to allow employees to redeem awards in different ways.(Admin Opt-in) Employee Nomination Action Search • With this release, users can access the employee nomination page through search of the default keywords such as Send Spot Award, Give Spot Award, Recognize, Reward in the Action Search bar. (Universal) Custom images for categories and levels • It is now possible to link custom images to categories and levels. These images must be smaller than 3 megabytes and uploaded in an aspect ratio of 1:1 to avoid image distortion. The recommended size for images is 90 by 90 pixels. (Universal) Redeem • Now, employees can redeem their flex reward points using 'Redeem' on the Reward and Recognition home page, based on their role-based permissions.
