Our Name: “Q”
Mission: Keep kids off the streets and give them a place to go and want to go!
Mission Statement: Build a Better Future Today!
Objectives: Create an afterschool basketball program for 6th-12th grade
students. Target is children from single parent households who may not have
supervision. In 2022, over 50 people were hospitalized from gun violence
amongst kids this age. About 34% of children live in single parent homes and
there is a correlation to supervision and juvenile delinquency.

• Average household income: $56, 939

- White: 71.2%, Black: 14.4%, Asian: 10.6%, Hispanic: 6.6%, 2 or more races: 6.6%

5. HOW IT WORKS
Behavioral Learning Theory
- Behaviorism focuses on the idea of all behaviors
through interaction with the environment.
Structure
- Program Director: Responsible for all legal
documents for members. Personnel transactions.
- Team Lead: Creates activities designated for the
day and delegates to counselors
- Counselors: Hired staff to help supervise the
children
- Volunteers: Interns or people looking to support
the cause and support the counselors

Average cost of indoor basketball court: $35,000
Total cost: $210,000 (6 basketball courts)

Children are the future and “Q” is here to deliver the mentorship to impact the
leaders of tomorrow. Basketball is a great way to bring the community
together. Sports promote resilience, leadership, and comradery.
