n het EYE-museum in Amsterdam vond op vrijdag 27 november de tweede lunchbijeenkomst plaats van Boer & Croon Management voor relaties in het publieke domein. Pieter Tops, Hoogleraar Bestuurskunde aan Tilburg University schetste in zijn doorwrochte inleiding ‘Ondermijning van het Openbaar Bestuur’ de steeds manifester wordende doordringing van de onderwereld in de bovenwereld. In zijn inleiding en de latere discussie tussen burgemeesters, wethouders en experts onder leiding van Jo Horn, werd duidelijk dat gemeenten een wake-up call nodig hebben omdat zij vaak onvoldoende in beeld hebben dat ook in hun gemeenten de onderwereld aanwezig is.
Hoe moet de politie omgaan met berichten op sociale media? Hoe serieus moet zij deze nemen, wanneer kan zij hier eveneens via sociale media op reageren en wanneer is meer inzet nodig? Op basis van welke informatie en werkwijzen worden beslissingen hierover genomen? Deze en meer vragen staan centraal in het onderzoeksrapport "Monitoring en analyse informatie op sociale en online media" van Inge Gorissen en Roy Johannink (juni 2016).
