2. Welcome to Precision Waterjet & Laser
• We were established in 1996 and have become known in the aerospace
industry for our versatility in having waterjet, laser, welding, and CNC
machining capabilities under one roof. We are able to provide our customers
with turn-key parts and parts kits as well as basic cutting services based on
their needs.
• We operate out of a single facility with 40,000 square feet of production
space.
• Our machine tools include six CNC machining centers with five-axis
capabilities, one CNC lathe, seven waterjet cutting machines, three laser
cutting machines, seven MIG/TIG welding stations.
• Additional capabilities include CNC forming, hardware installation, kitting,
assembly, various finishing including plating/priming/anodizing and part
marking.
• We support Just-In-Time manufacturing, forecasted type orders and Kanban.
• We specialize in part cost reduction for our customers by optimizing material
usage through waterjet cutting near-net blanks followed by optimized CNC
machining techniques.
3. Product Realization
• Each contract we are awarded goes through a rigorous review process to
determine the proper planning and production process to match our customers
expectations & lead times. Our experienced planners work closely with our
purchasing department to ensure incoming raw materials and outside processes
arrive to meet our planned timeline.
• Each piece of material ordered for our customers’ products is inspected upon
receipt, measured and serialized. Material certifications are scrutinized for
accuracy by our receiving inspection department.
• Work instructions are written for each job. Routers, along with drawings,
serialized material tags, and set-up sheets are then signed off by production
management for release to our shop floor.
• We utilize Global Shop Solutions for MRP to help maintain traceability and shop
floor control.
• All parts pass through first article inspection prior to continuing production. In-
process inspection is performed at designated intervals based on critical or major
dimensions.
• Finished parts go through final inspection which may include 100% inspection.
4. Quality Assurance
• AS9100 Rev.C & ISO 9001:2008 Registered & Certified.
• All measuring equipment is calibrated by an outside calibration service, which
is certified to ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
• Quality manager maintains control of bond room.
• Bench inspections performed in temperature controlled inspection lab.
• Major inspection equipment includes Brown & Sharpe CMM, Faro Arm, optical
comparator, height gages, surface plates, calipers, thread gages, and pins.
5. CAD/CAM/IT Capabilities
• On-site Dell server and redundant back-up server secures all customer data.
• Contracted 24/7 IT support ensures 99% server up time along with scheduled
server maintenance and up-to-date antivirus protection.
• Able to import solid file types: ProEngineer, Solid Works, AutoCAD.
• Able to import all wire frame geometry via IGES converter.
• Full time on-site CAD/CAM programmers are dedicated to developing
machining programs.
• On site flat pattern digitizing capabilities for mylars, blueprints, templates &
tracings.
• Capable of reverse engineering machined parts missing drawings with FARO
Arm.
