Xylitol, erythritol, farnesol, salicylic acid, and two prototype LipoGel formulations were tested. Results showed that biofilm formation was completely inhibited by 20% xylitol, 10% erythritol, 1,000μg/ml farnesol, 20mM salicylic acid, or 0.1% of either LipoGel formulation.
