I have always wondered wheredomybeliefsandopinionscome from.Ioftenthoughtthat I am just
like the others,where we believethatourbeliefsare basedon yearsof experiencesandobjective
analysisof the informationthatare available.However,inrealityI’msusceptibletoa crafty problem
knownas a confirmationbias.Ioftenimagine andassume thatmybeliefsare logical,ractional, and
objective,butthe factisthat my ideasare often basedonpayingattentiontothe informationthat
upholdsmy ideasandignoringthe informationthatchallengesmy existingbeliefs.

Concept: Observational Learning (Chap1)
Observational learning cantake place at any pointinlife,itused tobe the most commonduring
childhoodaschildrenoften learnbyobservingthe surroundings behaviorandlearn.Italsoplaysan
importantrole inthe socializationprocess,aschildrenlearnhow tobehave andrespondto othersby
observinghowtheirparentsandothercaregiversinteractwitheachotherandwithotherpeople.
Observational learningalsoappliestousevenwhenwe are adult.
WhenI firstcome to taylorI was confuse onusingthe Printingmachine.Ithenobserve aroundhow
people usesthe machine. Thereare a few of printingmachine eitherinthe library’ssecondfloor,
24/7 studyroom or the computerlab locatedatblockC, level 7.Onthe othercaseswhichisalso
happenwhenIfirstenteredthisuniversityIwasconfusedonhow to use the studentportal to check
my timetable toknowwhatclassesamI havingnow andI actuallydidapplyobservationallearning
by peekingothersatstudentcenterhowtocheckthe timetable of myownandthus I learneditjus
by observingothers.Fromthere,they choosesthe filethathadbeensendearlier andjustprint, It’s
justthat easy!Throughobservational learning,Ifinallyget tolearnhow touse the printingmachine.
Observational learningisasocial learning thatfunctionasan individuallearnfromobservingthe
behavioursof othersandinturn behave inthe similarmanner.

Motivationisknown as the processthat initiates,leads,andmaintains goal-orientedbehaviors.
Motivationiswhatleads usto act, whetheritisgettinga cup of waterto reduce the thirstor reading
and studyingabookto gain yourknowledge. Itinvolvesthe emotional,social,biological,and
cognitive forcesthatinitiate the behavior.Ineverydaylife,the word motivation isoften usedto
describe why apersondoessomething.Differenttypesof motivationare commonly describedas
beingeitherextrinsicorintrinsic. Inthisentry,Iwouldlike totalkabout intrinsicmotivation.
I have beenforan art class at the same centerfor about14 yearssince am4 yearsold. The
Academiccentercouldsayto be my seconddwellingandthe teachersare like mybrothersand
sisters. Butunfortunately,eversince IstartedmyUniversitylife myschedule getsreallypacksoI
quit.However,Ireallyenjoy paintingalotsoI sometimesgotothe centerand hangsaround with
the kids and teachesthem wheneverI have the time.Nomatterhow tiredI wasor even I don’tget
the pay, I’mjustwillingtoteachthe kids because Ienjoyteachingthemdrawingandsee how they
startedimprovingdaybyday.Art had endeduppart of my life andnevergetsawayfrommy life.I
go for itas my weeklyroutineorsometimestwice aweekif have the time. Bydoingthis,Ican relax
myself andgetawayfrom mystressful life.Noone hadeverforce me to do this,I’mteaching forthe
sake of relaxingmyself andenjoythe momentof teachingthe kidsandsharesaway my art
knowledge tokids.
