This document provides details of a proposed project to establish Model Farm Service Centres (MFSCs) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The project aims to provide small machinery and implements to farmers through these MFSCs to help save time and labor costs, enhance productivity and improve socio-economic conditions. Over 20,000 pieces of machinery will be distributed across 1,001 union councils, 505 neighborhood councils, and 2,996 village councils in the province at a total projected cost of Rs. 2,254.077 million over 4 years. The machinery will be managed and distributed to registered farmers by MFSC committees.

1. Provision of small machinery / implements through Model Farm

4. Rationale:

 1,323,964 small land holdings 95% (1 acre to 12.5 acre).
 69,682 land lord 5% (more than 12.5 acre)
 Small farmers having least affordability / purchase power.
 Shortage of labour and high cost of production

5. Farmers selection criteria
 Registered farmers at UCs/VCs.
 Need Assessment of Farmer (Field Assistant).
 First come first serve.
 Rent assessment by the MFSC Management.
 Proportional advance payment/ recovery in case of damages, if any, as per actual cost.

6. Distribution / Implementation Mechanism:
 A committee comprising of five registered members with MFSC/FSC at VC level will be
constituted.
 The committee will be responsible for issuance of machinery.
 The committee will maintain record and accounts.
 The beneficiaries list will be uploaded on website.

7.  The implements will be issued to registered farmers.
 The committee will be responsible for stock & utilization.
 Monitoring by Management committee.
