2. Location 1
Pros:
o Own house so I do not need any transport to get to the location
o Not too far for the model, so transport for model will be easy
o I can use whatever objects that are in the location
o Do not need permission to carry out the shoot
o I will be comfortable in my own environment, so my shoot will be the best it can be.
o If I need an electricity supply I can easily find one within the house
o I can make the location look how I want it (set the room in a specific way)
Cons:
o Own house is not the ideal location for a photo shoot for a music magazine
o Location is not very big, so I will only be able to take some limited photographs
o Other people also there, so shoot may be interrupted
o Props in the location may not fit in with the background I want

3. Location 2
Pros:
o Large clean area which I can use to my benefit when conducting the shoot
o It is a quiet location, so I will not be interrupted
o The location is away from other people, so there will be no trespassers when I am taking the
photos
o I do not need any permission as the area is a college area
o There are no transport issues as it is easy to get to and back from the location for both me
and my model
o The area is bright, which will make my photos have a more brighter look
Cons:
o The background scenery is not as nice as I would have liked it to be. It looks quite plain.
o If it rains, then taking the photos will be hard as the location will be muddy and I will not be
able to take the photos that I would like to.
o Due to the location being a bit plain, the photos I take may not be as creative as I would like
them to be.

4. Location 3
Pros:
o This location is not too far for me to travel to as it is near college, therefore it is in
walking distance
o The area is quiet and has a very nice and sophisticated look which will make my
photos look even more sophisticated
o It is a large, clean location so I will be able to work well in this location
o There are several props in this location that I can use and the area has things which I
can work with when photographing my model.
Cons:
o The location is popular, so other people may interrupt my photo shoot and because of
this, the shoot may take longer than expected.
o If the weather is not appropriate, for example, it rains, I may not be able to take my
photos as the location is outside
o Other people may get in the background of my photos without realising which will
affect my photos.

5. Decision of location
After looking at the locations and carrying out the location reccess, I have decided to
conduct my photo shoot in location 3 which is the Henley town area. This is due to many
contributing factors. The location has a very nice professional and sophisticated look
which is one benefit for me as the photos I take will look nice with the background and my
model. The location is not too busy, therefore I will be able to take the photos in a calm
manner with no interruptions. As well as the props that my model will already have, this
location has benches and shops in the background which will allow my model to look like
a famous person in reality for my magazine. The location is in walking distance from the
college which means that there will be no transport issues for both me, my model and
anyone else who is helping me. There are no health and safety issues and this location
means that I have a range of interesting shots and camera angles that I can conduct
when photographing my model. The other two locations I looked at are also
good, however they do not have the look that I was looking for in terms of suiting the
genre of the magazine I am shooting these photos for. Therefore location 3 is the best
option and will give me the chance to make my photos look even more professional.
