Proposed E-Cigarette Regulations
This document proposes regulations for e-cigarettes at the state and local level. It notes that e-cigarette use among teens has increased significantly in recent years and the FDA has not endorsed them as cessation devices. It suggests regulating e-cigarettes similarly to traditional cigarettes by prohibiting sales to minors, minor possession and use, and use in places where smoking is banned, with an exception for vape shops. Specific regulations are outlined for a city code of ordinances.
