2. We will be using a multiple of props for the
making of our production. The incorporation of
different items will provide the audience with
verisimilitude as well as creating an
entertaining view, reflecting on our comedy
genre.

3. As a group, we decided that we should incorporate a large
banana as one of our props. As our short film is called 'big
boy', we thought involving a banana would emphasize on our
production's name whilst using the prop as a source of
entertainment when watching the film. The use of the
banana will prevent any awkwardness as it will illustrate his
vainness as well as creating humour towards the audience.

4. Our second prop is a mobile phone. This is
because there will be three phone
conversations taking place with Joseph and
his mother, the escort and his best friend. As
well as this, Joseph will be using his pone
when searching for the escorts number via
internet on his mobile. Therefore, we thought
the mobile phone would be useful as it may
also build suspense as the audience will want
to know the reasons to why he calls the
escort

5. We decided to use a location involving a
single bed in particular, as we thought this
would provide the audience with a male
stereotype as he the scene is introduced as
Joseph is masturbating to explicit content in
his bed. The single bed will also portray to the
audience that Joseph is a young adult, whilst
leaving viewers with questions about his
current relationship status. As well as this,
the fact that he is inexperienced will be
shown through the incorporation of the single
bed as it will imply that he is sleeping alone,
and most likely lives with his parents.

6. Condoms are a prime prop in which we will be
using to emphasize on the title Big Boy, as
well as entertaining our audience whilst
delivering an important message which is
primarily focused on having safe sexual
intercourse. The involvement of condoms,
will reinforce the humour towards the
audience as well as making it simpler for our
narrative to be more clear and concise;
Joseph, losing his virginity for the first time
with an escort company hooker. However, we
will be using king size condoms to, once again,
emphasize on the name Big Boy. Condoms
are also the main use of safety when having
sexual intimacy, therefore we thought
condoms would be a useful prop for our
production.

7. We will be using a laptop at the beginning of
our short film in order to enable Joseph to
watch explicit content on his television as the
laptop will be connected. As well as this we
thought a laptop would be a good prop to use
as it is easily accessible and will be used
during the incorporation of the explicit
content.

8. We thought that we would incorporate a
television as one of our props. This is
because, it is likely for a male teenager to
have a television in his room. As well as this,
we will be using a television as the laptop will
be connected to it, revealing the sound of the
explicit content as Joseph will be satisfying
his needs whilst masturbating.

9. The final prop that we will be using is an
escort leaflet. This is because, we thought
involving a leaflet would create an
enthusiastic moment for the audience as the
hooker asks Joseph what services he would
like to be provided with, which leads to a
number of entertaining scenarios. As well as
this, we thought it will emphasize on his
uncertainty of sexual activity, making him
question different services offered.

would make our media product look more effective and
interesting for our target audience and all viewers.
