Catchment
evaluation and
engagement
Two diffuse water
pollution from agriculture
assessments were
delivered for the public
sector.
Catchment characterisation,
walkovers and detailed
desk-based research and
data analysis were
undertaken to complete
these projects.
An engagement project
was designed and
delivered to support the
involvement of farmers
and land managers in the
delivery of this work.
As a result, technical
visits were provided on
35 farms and a final
report was prepared
using FARMSCOPER.
Catchment
management
An outsourced catchment
project including co-
ordination and delivery
management was provided
for a government
organisation.
This included engagement
work, technical farm
visits and events, and
communications work.
Catchment co-ordination
was provided for
22 months.
During this time, three
newsletters were
produced, 140 visits were
completed and 12 events
were delivered or
attended.
Reducing the
impact of
diffuse
pollution on
priority
catchments
Delivery of a tailored
project for a water
company to understand
the use of metaldehyde
within priority catchments
and why it was having an
increasing impact on
water quality.
Desk-based research and
data analysis were
completed to guide
delivery in the target
catchments.
Thirty technical visits on
pesticide and nutrient
management planning
were delivered, and a
summary report
produced.
Farmer
behaviour
and attitudes
towards
diffuse water
pollution
A qualitative project for a
water company to
develop a baseline of
opinions and behaviours
towards diffuse water
pollution from
agriculture.
Engagement meetings
were held in target
catchments to support
farmer involvement.
Interviews with 28 farmers
and land managers were
