The students had chosen to study the planets as their class project. They began by sharing what they already knew about planets through discussion. They learned many interesting facts, such as that Mercury is the smallest planet and closest to the sun. They then researched each planet in more depth, constructing models and doing experiments to learn about their characteristics such as Venus' volcanoes. The students presented their findings to each other and created booklets to document what they learned about each planet. They greatly enjoyed this immersive project about the solar system.
