This document discusses findings from studies on the impact of podcasts on student learning. It finds that podcasts generally have a positive impact when they provide supplementary content not available to other students, allow repeated listening and review, or deliver just-in-time information. However, positive effects may be due more to how podcasts are used rather than the podcasts themselves. No studies found detrimental effects of podcasts on learning. The document concludes that teacher-created podcasts can benefit learning when used appropriately.
