AcinipoMade by: Lucía & María
Introduction: Acinipo is an archaeological deposit, located in the ‘‘Mountainous of Ronda’’, and it is 20 kilometers from the city. In this place, we can found a very famous theatre and remains of the ancient city of Acinipo. It is situated in a strategic place on high ground, where the land is very fertile. This city has got some samples of the Cooper Age and the Bronze Age.
The history of Acinipo:Acinipo is known as ‘’Ronda la Vieja.'' It was a Roman city built in the 1st century B.C, and it became one of the most important of Andalusia. The area in which we find remains of stone was where the Romans built their homes. Another construction of this ancient city was the theater.
The famous theater of Acinipo: The theater was built between 60 and 50 B.C. It is the most representative building of the ancient Roman city and the most conserved. The ground is decorated with marble slabs. It is made principally by stone. It had a capacity of 2000 spectators.
Our excursion to Acinipo: When we was in year 5, we went to Acinipo with all our class. We visit the theater, the hot springs, the ancient roman city…The majority of the time, we were in the big theater and we did some funny shows. It was fantastic and amazing! Here, some photos of the trip:
