This document discusses a project called "Global Village" that aims to create a digital representation of a global community by collecting photos of people from different backgrounds posing in front of famous landmarks. The project owner wants to transcend physical and temporal borders using computers. They will use photo sharing sites to find images and editing software like Photoshop and iPhoto to combine the photos into a single collage or moving image. The intended audience is those interested in global communities and the history of landmarks from a tourist perspective.
