To establish a valid,  up-dated list of ICT policy makers and stakeholders  in the target countries as well as in the EU To identify  complementary funding mechanisms  to the ICT programme, at national and international level (ie: national research funding programmes, etc) To draft a clear  collaboration plan  on how to network with the stakeholders community, including purpose and timeframe ***************** WP1: Business intelligence to reinforce ICT community networking between  EU and LATAM WP1 Objectives
Task 1.1  Identification of ICT policy makers and stakeholders  in target countries in LATAM. Task 1.2  Identification of initiatives, projects, programmes  that involve stakeholders from EU and LATAM countries. Task 1.3  Identification of stakeholders in the EU . Task 1.4  Identification of complementary funding mechanisms . Task 1.5  Identification of collaboration mechanisms  among these communities. D1.1 List of stakeholders and EU/LAC initiatives on international cooperation: Database of 600+ select contacts  from LATAM and EU  (including ICT Industry, Academia and Public Institutions) It includes key information regarding institutional roles, domains of interest, etc It also includes ICT research programmes and funding mechanisms currently available in LATAM and EU A partial list of ICT key stakeholders from LATAM and EU from this database in  www.pro-ideal.eu/who_is_who   … This database is a work in progress… WP1 Main Achievements
D1.2 Status quo of complementary funding mechanisms to ICT research activities in LATAM target countries Refining and completing the list of main complementary funding mechanisms at national and international levels National Level: 70+ complementary funding mechanisms for ICT R&D are considered relevants International Level: IADB and FP7 are becoming the most important funding mechanisms for R&D in LATAM.  CYTED, IBEROEKA and OEI are also important mechanisms. WP1 Main Achievements
