AFRICALLIA 2016
Progetto il Ponte is pleased to present to its customers the Forum “AFRICALLIA 2016”, scheduled in Burkina Faso,
from 24 to 26 February 2016, which is an excellent opportunity to promote the excellence of your business and to
hold a series of B2B meetings aimed at opening new sales channels in the emerging markets of sub-Saharan area.
AFRICALLIA
The forum, organized every two years by the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Burkina Faso, is an event
dedicated to the development of SMEs commercial activities in the West African countries members of UEMOA
(Union économique et monétaire ouest-africaine), the economic union established in 1994 to promote the economic
integration among the countries that share the CFA Franc as a common currency.
Now in its fourth edition, the first held in 2010, has seen a growing interest and greater participation of both
countries in the area of sub-Saharan Africa and in foreign countries. If the first edition collected have seen the
participation of 376 delegates representing 250 companies from 20 countries the event of 2014 has seen a major
participation increase with 448 companies and 608 delegates from 24 countries in four continents (Africa, America,
Asia and Europe), allowing the realization of 5.357 B2B meetings and more than 670 informal meetings.
The Concept
Organized over the course of three days, provides the opportunity to participate in thematic workshops and hold
up to 15 B2B meetings among participants aimed at creating new business opportunities. With a few months in
advance, it will be asked to entrepreneurs who wish to participate to complete a registration form with the details of
their “desired meetings”. A secure access to the database of the participants will allow to choose and arrange the
meetings with such companies.
In addition to B2B meetings, the forum will host three different areas that can effectively contribute to the
creation of new opportunities for cooperation:
Partner Village: a promotional showcase for all institutional partners and major sponsor of the event. It is the
ideal place to explore the themes of market access to UEMOA, discover opportunities for national, regional and
international level, to collect funds on the sub-regional financial market, to have access to funding and secure
investments
Expert Village: intended for business professionals (bankers, insurers, international lawyers, tax consultants,
carriers, freight forwarders, logistics specialists ... ) provides for the possibility for participants to meet with these
specialists and benefit from their advice by using their services immediately.
International Village: reserved to intermediary organizations (chambers of commerce and/or institutes to
support the private sector) that accompany their members and represent their country or region of origin.

Burkina Faso – Country in the Sahel in the heart of West Africa
The Burkina Faso, the "Land of the blameless", is located in the heart of West Africa. It has an area of 274,200 km2
and a population of over 18 million inhabitants. Its location makes it a strategic point to reach the vast market of
more than 300 million inhabitants of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
The economy of Burkina Faso is based mainly on agriculture. The agricultural sector employs 80% of the working
population and contributes 28.4% to the formation of the GDP. Until 2008, the main export products of Burkina Faso
was cotton, sesame, walnuts and shea butter, cashew nuts, etc.
In 2009, gold has become the main source of export earnings from the country, so much so that in 2014, the
production of gold has reached 36.5 tons.
To exploit its geographical position and its economic potential, Burkina Faso engaged by more than a decade to
introduce reforms to create a favorable economic environment where the private sector plays a significant role.
These reforms have helped to create a favorable legal framework. In this context, the economy of Burkina Faso has
grown steadily and from 2010 to 2014 the average rate of growth of national economy was about 6.5 %.
In terms of business opportunities, the country offers great potential in mining, agro-food, telecommunications,
ICT, banks and insurance, livestock, poultry, electricity, solar energy equipment, etc.

Ouagadougou, is finalizing a series of cooperation agreements that will lead Progetto il Ponte to become one of the
main references for all Cooperation and Business Development activities between our country and Burkina Faso.
For this reason, Progetto il Ponte srl serves its customers as a “one stop shop” for their participation in Africallia
taking the responsibility to:
• Registration to the event
• Organize the B2B meetings on customer input
• Carry out the practice for the entry visa in Burkina Faso.
• Hotel booking
• Transfers and on-site Assistance
To ensure the success of the organization, our offer will be limited to a maximum of 30 Companies. For this
reason, please indicate Your intention to accede to our proposal by December 15, 2015, with final confirmation by
December 31, 2015
The valorization of the proposed package is 4,500 € VAT excluded with the following methods of payment:
1. 2,500 € to confirmation of participation (not later than December 15, 2015)
2. 2.000 € to the balance by December 31, 2015
In case of renunciation by January 10, 2016 will be recognized a refund equal to 65% (excluding VAT).

AFRICALLIA The forum, organized every two years by the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Burkina Faso, is an event dedicated to the development of SMEs commercial activities in the West African countries members of UEMOA (Union économique et monétaire ouest-africaine), the economic union established in 1994 to promote the economic integration among the countries that share the CFA Franc as a common currency. The Concept Organized over the course of three days, provides the opportunity to participate in thematic workshops and hold up to 15 B2B meetings among participants aimed at creating new business opportunities. With a few months in advance, it will be asked to entrepreneurs who wish to participate to complete a registration form with the details of their “desired meetings”. A secure access to the database of the participants will allow to choose and arrange the meetings with such companies. In addition to B2B meetings, the forum will host three different areas that can effectively contribute to the creation of new opportunities for cooperation: Partner Village: a promotional showcase for all institutional partners and major sponsor of the event. It is the ideal place to explore the themes of market access to UEMOA, discover opportunities for national, regional and international level, to collect funds on the sub-regional financial market, to have access to funding and secure investments Expert Village: intended for business professionals (bankers, insurers, international lawyers, tax consultants, carriers, freight forwarders, logistics specialists ... ) provides for the possibility for participants to meet with these specialists and benefit from their advice by using their services immediately.
