This document outlines the purpose and timeline for establishing a professional learning community (PLC). The goals of the PLC are to work as a community to measure and improve student learning. Key aspects of developing the PLC include understanding why it exists, what it will do, and how it will operate. The PLC aims to assess student learning effectiveness and determine instructional strategies based on data analysis of student work. Regular PLC meetings over the 2015 school year are intended to guide the implementation and independent operation of the collaborative community.
