Profession
Occupation, practice, or vocation requiring mastery of a complex set of
knowledge and skills through formal education and/or practical experience.
HONESTY
HONESTY
• Honesty means you don't say things about people that aren't true.
• You are not being honest if you make up rumours about someone or if you
share rumours someone else made up.
• Being honest means you admit your actions, even if you'll get into
trouble.
• You are not being honest if you deny you did something wrong when you
really did it.
• Honesty means you explain how a situation really happened.
• You are not being honest if you say something happened one way when it
really happened another way.
THE TRIPLE FILTER TEST
“If what you want to say is neither true, nor
good or kind, nor useful or necessary,
please don’t say anything at all.”

Few points which justifies that honesty is the best policy
1. It is the mantra to lead a happy and healthy life. It brings our friends closer
and relations are shared on with trueness, not artificially.
2. It blesses us with goodwill from others and gives a positive energy to
the mind and heart.
3. It helps an individual build a trustworthy friend circle where you are loved,
trusted as well as respected.
4. It makes an individual strong and confident and thus is valued a lot among
his peers and society.
5. It helps an individual stay at bay from frustration, fatigue, anxiety and other
such mental problems.

What will do in the following situation ?
Why?
• You are taking your bike from parking and hit a bike behind and it
fell down. The mirrors have broken. No one noticed it. What will you
do?
• You went for a purchase in a super market and found one person
stealing a costly pen from the shelf. What will you do?
• You bought an item worth Rs. 100 and gave a 500 rupee note . The
shop keeper gives a balance of Rs.1900 thinking that you gave 2000
rupee note which you notice after leaving the shop. What will you do?
INTEGRITY – Walk the Talk
• Integrity stems from the Latin word ‘integer’ which means whole and
complete.
• So integrity requires an inner sense of ‘wholeness’ and consistency of
character.
• When you are in integrity, people should be able to visibly see it
through your actions, words, decisions, methods, and outcomes.
• You don’t have a ‘work you,’ a ‘family you,’ and a ‘social you.’ You
are YOU all the time.

TRANSPARENCY
• It is about the ability of the receiver to have full access to the
information he wants, not just the information the sender is willing to
provide.
• Transparency embodies honesty and open communication
• To be transparent, you must be willing to share information when it is
uncomfortable to do so.
Transparency at work, or transparency in business, means
• Communicating openly and honestly with your team members and
• Cultivating a culture where information can flow freely between people
and teams.
• Being upfront and visible about the actions it takes, and whether those
actions are consistent with its values

Workplace confidentiality can be defined as keeping the
employee, customer and client information private.

Importance of Confidentiality at Work
• It is the employee's responsibility to treat all the information in the workplace with care and
caution.
• An employee should be prudent enough not to disclose any information that the organization
considers sensitive and confidential, to a third party
• An employee should know what files or materials he is permitted to access in the office and he
should adhere to that. Under no circumstances should these files be shared or given to
unauthorized people.
• As far as the employer is concerned, any personal or professional details of employees should
be handled with prudence.

Importance of Confidentiality at Work
• The client or the customer can file legal suits against the
organization if they feel that some secret information regarding
them have been revealed by the organization or its employees.
• This can have negative repercussions on the business's reputation
as well.
• So it becomes very important for the employees as well as the
organization to protect information in the workplace.
OBJECTIVITY
OBJECTIVITY
• Objectivity in the workplace is defined by a fair and balanced approach to
making decisions concerning tasks, objectives, or company problems.
• Decisions are based on facts, evidence, logic, and reason (not based on the
personal judgment of one person or a group.)
• To avoid emotion-based responses or personal judgements of situations.
• Objectivity aims to eliminate decisions based on personal bias, cultural
differences and any other criterion that cannot be measured or proven

• What we do when we respect someone is that we recognise
their value.
• Respecting others is a silent way to express our feeling for
them.
• Some people think that the weak people show respect to the
strong and powerful just because they are weak. This is a
complete misunderstanding.
• It is also important to remember that respect is reciprocal.

HONESTY • Honesty means you don't say things about people that aren't true. • You are not being honest if you make up rumours about someone or if you share rumours someone else made up. • Being honest means you admit your actions, even if you'll get into trouble. • You are not being honest if you deny you did something wrong when you really did it. • Honesty means you explain how a situation really happened. • You are not being honest if you say something happened one way when it really happened another way.

INTEGRITY – Walk the Talk • Integrity stems from the Latin word ‘integer’ which means whole and complete. • So integrity requires an inner sense of ‘wholeness’ and consistency of character. • When you are in integrity, people should be able to visibly see it through your actions, words, decisions, methods, and outcomes. • You don’t have a ‘work you,’ a ‘family you,’ and a ‘social you.’ You are YOU all the time.

CONFIDENTIALITY • Importance of Confidentiality at Work • It is the employee's responsibility to treat all the information in the workplace with care and caution. • An employee should be prudent enough not to disclose any information that the organization considers sensitive and confidential, to a third party • An employee should know what files or materials he is permitted to access in the office and he should adhere to that. Under no circumstances should these files be shared or given to unauthorized people. • As far as the employer is concerned, any personal or professional details of employees should be handled with prudence.
