The document describes the production process of modeling a robot. The modeler started with a basic circular ball, shaded purple, then added an engine in back and eyes in front. Indents were added to the sides to give it a unique look and reveal the core. The model was then surfaced with different colors and textures, including a metal shell and glowing engine, eyes and core. The finished, fully surfaced and textured robot model is shown hovering prior to rendering.

1. Production Log
Here is my base of my model I’m starting off with just a basic circular ball and
I’ve already shaded the ball as a purple colour to make it stand out.

2. I’ve now multishifted the back of my model to create the engine of my robot.

3. Now I have done what I did on the back on the front but with a larger curve
inwards and this is to create my robots eye, later on I will change the colour of
the pupil to give it a more diverse look.

4. In this printscreen, you can see where I’ve sketched out the sides of the robot
and this is where the dents going inwards will be that will give my robota more
unique look.

5. I have now made the dents in the sides of my robot and this is to reveal my
robots core allowing it to have a more unique look.

6. After finishing off creating all the sides of my robot I begin to surfacehim
giving him different colours to make my model stand out.

7. After surfacing my the left and right side I begin to surfacethe front and back
of my robot, and I also surfaced the eye and pupil 2 different colours.

8. I now repeat the process for my eye on my engine to give it someflare.

9. After surfacing my model I transfer it over to Layoutto add textures etc.

10. Now after taking some keyframepictures of my robot, I begin to use surface
editor to give my robots shell a more metal like appearanceand I give the
engine, eye and core a more glow-like look to makeit look more realistic as if it
is alive.

11. Here is whatmy finished and fully surfaced robotlooks like in modeler before
being rendered.

12. Here is my finished model fully rendered, as you can see my robotis hovering
and the surfaces I applied havetaken affected.
