This document discusses theories related to music videos and the planning of a student music video project. It covers Mulvey's theory on how women are portrayed in provocative ways in media, Goodwin's theory on conventions used in different music genres like certain shot types reflecting song lyrics, and planning tasks for the student music video like filming at a beach, exploring intertextuality and its influence, and completing planning and research tasks.

2. In this week we have looked at the theories that
affect music videos as we know them. For
example Mulveys theory looks back over how
women are seen in the media industry which
is generally provocative. Whilst Goodwins
theory on the other hand looks at the
conventions of each genre of music and how
certain shots have been used to reflect the
lyrics of the song.

3.  Filmed at the beach (Separate production

 Looked at the links between intertextuality
and how it influences a video.
 Started planning the crew list, shooting
schedule etc.

4.  Finish the rest of the planning for our music
video.
 Continue my research into the media
industry.
