1. From the simple observation and evolution of the phenomena it can be affirmed
without any doubt that the chronic and degenerative diseases are transmissible and
related to the cognitive and contextual system. Transmissibility refers to the use of
non adaptable habits (uses and customs) in micro and macro social environments of
life. The examples are transmitted more quickly than any infectious pathology and
become much more difficult to eradicate.
It is already consolidated that a lot of the chronic and degenerative pathologies are
correlated with life style and more particularly to food style, but how to intervene?
The authors point of view is to give value to the concept of transmissibility. Nowadays,
public health has changed, yet it keeps on making enormous investments only in
the prophylaxis of transmissible diseases (infectious)... which represent the only
partial breakthrough of scientific medicine.
The new influenza has reached level IV, that of pandemic, but if the chronic and
degenerative diseases were observed under the modern focus, to which level should
them be connected?
In this case it also deals with a pandemic, non infectious, but a pandemic
nevertheless.
How much has been spent on the treatment of the new influenza and how much on
the chronic and degenerative diseases? What is the mortality rate of the new
influenza and what is that of chronic and degenerative diseases? What is the interest
of the market and what is that of science?
Prevention of chronic and degenerative diseases
2. Considering the damages caused by chronic and degenerative
diseases, it is necessary to look elsewhere, mainly in relation
to the new forms of identity and communication
of the global world. Learning always happens at local level and
every action begins at the local level.
All of us, physicians, teachers, parents, tutors, family, friends...
decidedly play a determinant role in the future and in the life
style during childhood.
Chronic and degenerative diseases are transmissible through
micro and macro social individual contexts and there is not,
neither there could ever be a proper vaccine except through
the amplification of the individual and of the community forms
of knowledge.
Transmit... Habits... Behaviors... Customs... transmit...
Playing with words to make governments and rulers in the
world understand that it is necessary to raise the level of
attention and investments for this pandemic of the
public health of the modern era.
Only with great awareness about the gravity of the problem it
will be possible to intervene to try to stop it, but how to bring
about this awareness?
