This study compared the adoption of agricultural technologies by cooperative and non-cooperative women cassava farmers in Imo state, Nigeria. The study found that cooperative women farmers had higher awareness, interest, evaluation, trial and adoption of improved technologies compared to non-cooperative farmers. Cooperative farmers also had higher total cassava output, average output and performance. The study concluded that being in a cooperative leads to greater technology adoption and improved productivity and income for women cassava farmers. It recommends supporting women farmer cooperatives to increase food production and alleviate poverty.
