Beth Hirschhorn was appointed chief marketing officer and executive vice president of Kaplan Educational Foundation in 2014. The Kaplan Educational Foundation has paved the way for accessible education since 2006, enabling low-income students to pursue two- and four-year college degrees. Each year, the foundation awards approximately seven multi-year scholarships to African American, Latino, and Native American students of exceptional academic merit in the New York City area, providing $3,000 per year for associate's degrees and additional funding for bachelor's degrees.

Each year, the foundation awards approximately seven multi-year
scholarships to African American, Latino, and NativeAmerican
students of exceptional academic merit in the NewYork City area.
In addition to $3,000 for each year a student is enrolled in an
associate’s degree program, Kaplan scholars have access to a
variety of personalized academic services, such as supplemental
tutoring, admissions guidance, transfer counseling, and summer
study programs. For students who go on to pursue a bachelor’s
degree, additional funding is available to cover the costs of
educational materials and living expenses.
