1. Our Teachers have received an email with the subject: "Activate your DepEd
Microsoft 365 Account”; advising to activate an M365 account but without r7-2. Is this
a valid email?
Answer: YES, if you have received this email, please proceed by logging in
https://portal.office.com , using the username provided (no r7-2) and
Temporary Password. After successfully logging in, teachers are advised
to setup their permanent password with the format provided in the email.
This new account is in Main Tenant, which is different to the R7-2.

2. After I have activated this account, this means I now have two M365 Account, the
one with R7-2 (e.g. juan.delacruz@r7-2.deped.gov.ph) and account same to my
email in the Main Tenant (juan.delacruz@deped.gov.ph)
Answer: YES, you now have the two accounts in M365.

3. What are the purpose of these two accounts?
Answer : The username with r7-2 will be used by the teacher to login on
https://portal.office.com and to access the M365 Apps (like OneDrive,
SharePoint, Forms). The username without r7-2 (Main Tenant) will be used by
the teacher to login on https://portal.office.com / https://outlook.office.com, and
access their email via Outlook.

4. What’s the other purpose of r7-2 account of the teacher?
Answer: Not just on accessing the Apps in M365, the r7-2 account is in place so
that the teachers can connect to the Learners M365. The Learners
M365 account are in r7-2 and the only way for the teachers to
communicate and access the files of the learners are the their r7-2 .
