   1.In the near future, at least 80 out of 100
    Indian consumers will make online purchases.
   2· If you look at the current scenario, then,
    more than a quarter show that consumers
    spend 11% of their monthly purchases costs in
    online shopping.
   3· Some of the Indians rely on the advice of
    your family when making a purchase decision
    online. Advice of his friends are 64 percent and
    product reviews online by 29 percent.
   4· Almost half of consumers in India and the confidence
    to use social networks to help them make buying
    decisions online.

  5· When buying consumer electronics, software and
  other items, users rely solely on online reviews and
  opinions.
 6. All shopping websites online provide detailed product
  information for consumer convenience so you can select
  the option that suits your needs.

    7. One of the key benefits of shopping online is that you
    can access 24x7 and consumers can buy anywhere
    anytime from anywhere
   Cultural & social issues
     Need to “experience” the product
     No tradition of direct mail and catalog ordering
     Payment problems – credit cards, electronic checks vs. cash
     Don’t know how to use the internet

     Slow & unreliable internet connections
     Device preferences (e.g., wireless vs. PC)

   On April 25, Snapdeal.com sold
    30,000 deals on a single day, one of the
    highest transactions on any e-commerce site
    in India.
    That day, it sold pre-paid recharge coupons
    of Rs 100 for half the price for leading
    telecom service providers like Aircel,
    Vodafone, Tata Indicom, Idea and Virgin. At
    one point in the day, almost 100 deals were
    being sold per minute.
   In June 2011, Snapdeal adopted a remote
    village(Shiv nagar, UP) in India and enabled
    clean drinking water facilities by installing
    manual pumps. To show their gratitude, the
    village’s residents decided to rename their
    village to Snapdeal.com Nagar
   We are hoping that we convert the significant
    chuck of the growing Internet users in India to
    do transaction with us. In terms of revenues
    we are expecting about Rs 600 crore in the
    current financial year
