God establishes a covenant with Noah and all living creatures after the flood. As a sign of this covenant, God places a rainbow in the clouds. Whenever God brings clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears, it will remind him of his promise to never again destroy all life with a flood. The rainbow will serve as a reminder of the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures on earth.

generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will

4. Goal
• Worship is giving God the glory he alone deserves. Music is
one tool he has given us to help us do that. Both through
example and command, Scripture shows us the vital role
music plays in the worship of God. Psalm 66:2 says, “Sing
the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!” Music is
a gift from God, intended to assist us as we develop and
deepen our relationship with Him.
• The Music and Worship Ministry of Upper Room Church
exists first to identify, train and deploy musicians who will
humbly and skillfully serve God’s purposes for and through
the church. Secondarily, we want to equip the church in
general musical knowledge that will enhance the use of
music in glorifying God.
