 The purpose of the Presentation is to evaluate the
effectiveness of a presentation
 Topics Covered:
 The objectives associated with the presentation
 Ineffective components of the presentation
 Effective components of the presentation
 Mistakes made with the presentation

CLEAR OBJECTIVES
 Training Material should have clear objectives
 There were no clearly stated objectives
 Theme of content changed frequently without
making any significant or meaningful connections
 There is opportunity for improvement regarding the
objectives

Ineffective Component of
Presentation
 There was no audio for a 67 slide show
 Took to long for a point to be made within the presentation
 By slide 7, the purpose of the training was not clear
 The goal(s) of the training were not clear
 There were too many paradigms as perceived truths
 Comments were made but they were not connected to a clear main point
 The topics or focus of the presentation seemed to change every three or
four slides
 Many sweeping generalizations
 Conclusions given without logic justifying

Effective Components & Effectiveness
 Complimentary graphics that aligned with the comments
 Slide deck seemed welcoming to a large audience as many aspects of life were included
ranging from business to populations
 Contained alit of data and information
 Graphs were used to convey a point
 The slides were colorful
 With the limited factors that were beneficial, the training material was not effective or helpful.

Presentation Mistakes
 The purpose of the presentation was not clear and
the points on the slides were not connected well.
 There were no instructions on what to do with the
presentation.
 The presentation left much to be desired

  • 3. CLEAR OBJECTIVES  Training Material should have clear objectives  There were no clearly stated objectives  Theme of content changed frequently without making any significant or meaningful connections  There is opportunity for improvement regarding the objectives 3

Ineffective Component of Presentation  There was no audio for a 67 slide show  Took to long for a point to be made within the presentation  By slide 7, the purpose of the training was not clear  The goal(s) of the training were not clear  There were too many paradigms as perceived truths  Comments were made but they were not connected to a clear main point  The topics or focus of the presentation seemed to change every three or four slides  Many sweeping generalizations  Conclusions given without logic justifying 4

Effective Components & Effectiveness  Complimentary graphics that aligned with the comments  Slide deck seemed welcoming to a large audience as many aspects of life were included ranging from business to populations  Contained alit of data and information  Graphs were used to convey a point  The slides were colorful  With the limited factors that were beneficial, the training material was not effective or helpful. 5
  • 6. Presentation Mistakes  The purpose of the presentation was not clear and the points on the slides were not connected well.  There were no instructions on what to do with the presentation.  The presentation left much to be desired 6

Editor's Notes

  1. While multi-tasking is frowned upon, people like to multi-task and I am included in that number. I would like to have had the option to listen to audio. By slide 7, I had no idea what the training was about. The slides give numbers regarding how many people there are like me but did not state in what respect. This was annoying. The topics or focus of the presentation seemed to have every three or four slides.  
  2. The graphics on the slides were effective along with the text usage on the slide. At slide 24, I think I started to understand what the presentation was about but this was excessively late in the presentation. At this slide number, I stated to gather that the presentation was about career preparation through technology and education/training. Then I thought there seems to be more to this presentation. The bar graphs were helpful and the second to last slide helped me make the connection between the title and the slide presentation.
  3. The purpose of the presentation was not clear and the points on the slides were not connected well. There were no instructions on what to do with the presentation.
