Do you want to....Work in a challenging, people-driven industry? Gain a qualification that will allow you to seek          work in a new area?
Become able to work as a steward at concert and       sporting events across the country?
Work at the London Olympics in 2012? Come along to our drop-in session:Thursday 14th January 2010 2pm – 4pm
What Qualifications will I receive?On completion of the course you will receive a BTEC Level 2 Qualification in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events.Come along to our drop-in session:Thursday 14th January 2010 2pm – 4pm
What are the entry Qualifications ?You do not need any qualifications to apply and gain a place on this course.While you do need to be 18 to work as a steward, there is nothing to stop you completing this training beforehand.Come along to our drop-in session:Thursday 14th January 2010 2pm – 4pm
What subjects will I study? The course is split into four units that cover stewarding at spectator events. They are: • How to prepare for spectator events • How stewards control the entry, exit and    movement of spectators at events • How to respond to injuries, illnesses and other emergencies in active leisure and learning • How stewards monitor crowds and respond to potential problems at spectator events Come along to our drop-in session:Thursday 14th January 2010 2pm – 4pm
What about exams? Throughout the course, assessment will be continuous and will include regular written tests, assignments and practical work. Some of these will consist of group exercises, while others will be individual efforts. The course will not all take place in the classroom. Field trips will be organised to give students experience of looking at venues from a security standpoint.Come along to our drop-in session:Thursday 14th January 2010 2pm – 4pm
How long will it take? The course will run as two separate classes – one in the evenings, and one on Saturday mornings. The course will last for 13 weeks at 3 hours per class.Come along to our drop-in session:Thursday 14th January 2010 2pm – 4pm
