Alexandru Averescu was a Romanian military leader and politician who served as Marshal of Romania, Army General, and Commander of the Romanian Army during World War I. He led the Second Army in important battles at Marasti and Oituz in 1917, bringing him glory. Averescu also held the position of Prime Minister of Romania.
