This document presents the objectives, hypothesis, methodology, results, and conclusion of a mini project studying how much money students at UPSI spend per month. The objectives are to determine if PTPTN loans are sufficient for expenses and quantify monthly spending. A hypothesis is that loans do not fully cover costs. Surveys of 50 students collected data on expenses per semester and month. Most students spent RM2000-RM3999 per semester and RM300-RM499 monthly. Most money was spent on food. The conclusion is that while loans help, they do not fully cover expenses as hypothesized.

Smart Portal: A Platform for Student's Profile Creation, Evaluation and Clust...
In today's era where almost everything is digitized, even then at the end of the day we have to come across the paperwork when it comes to document submission and verification for any process. As a result, with increased advancement in the technology, easy availability and access of data and documents is the main concern. This project is intended to develop an application based system where student data and documents will be stored on a server and create a smart profile on the basis of student data. Student can also use that data and document anywhere anytime. The main aim is to provide a common application for all parts of education. Where each necessary details and document of a student will be available on one single portal also can be accessible by other higher authorities. Additionally, evaluating the profile and clustering of students can be done for better recommendation.
The Smart Portal system will be useful in document extraction during the admission process as well as it will be used for requirement of details and document of a candidate during interview. Students can upload their data and documents on the server after registration. Then their data will be analysed by the system by evaluating and clustering. This data is retrieved using QR code scanning system or Email verification/ OTP.

What supports students to stay at university?
This document discusses research into why some first-year university students have doubts about continuing their studies but ultimately decide to stay. The research found that approximately one-third of first-year students seriously consider withdrawing. Students who doubt are more likely to have a poorer university experience and cite reasons related to their course for doubting. Developing a sense of belonging was found to influence students' decisions to persist despite doubts. The research recommends universities support student transition, improve relationships with staff, help students make informed choices, and foster social integration to reduce doubting and improve retention.
impact of social media on the mental health of secondary school students
This study examined the relationship between social media usage and mental health among 200 secondary school students in Patna, Bihar. The key findings were:
1) Facebook was the most popular social media platform used. Usage varied in terms of time spent and number of friends/groups.
2) The majority of students had average mental health scores, while some had high scores.
3) A moderate negative correlation was found between social media usage and mental health scores, indicating more usage is linked to poorer mental health.
4) No significant differences were found in mental health between gender or school type (public vs. private).

This presentation outlines the main factors that have been found by previous research studies, including those by UKCISA and the British Council, which determine the quality of the international student experience. It then shows how universities can interrogate the extensive data sets that already exist, for example from the National Student Satisfaction (NSS) survey and internal institutional records of students’ progression and achievement, to assess their performance on a number of dimensions. Finally, it highlights the importance of continually communicating with international students to understand and respond to their changing needs, drawing on the experience of Nottingham Trent University.

In this study, we investigated challenges facing the effective teaching and learning of Agricultural Science in public secondary schools of Ibadan North local government area of Oyo state and ways of handling such challenges. We also examined students’ attitudes to Agricultural Science as a subject finding out whether students’ attitudes to the subject had any relationship with their performance in the subject. The population for this study was made up of all Agricultural Science teachers, Vice Principals, Principals and SSS II students offering Agricultural Science in all public secondary schools in Ibadan North local government area of Oyo State, Nigeria. Furthermore, simple random sampling technique was used to select three schools from all the public secondary schools in the area. A total of thirty Agricultural Science teachers, Vice Principals, Principals and one hundred SSS II students in the selected schools constituted the sample size. Two different structured questionnaire were administered. The first one was for the teachers. It addressed challenges facing Agricultural Science as a subject with suggested ways of managing the challenges. The other questionnaire was for the students. It addressed their attitudes to the subject.
The two instruments used a four-point likert assessment scale. Reliability index value was obtained for the research instruments using Cronbach’s Alpha. Agricultural Science Achievement Test was conducted for the students. The questions were selected using item analysis technique. The performance of the students in the Achievement Test was categorized using the standard values of the Students’ Result Format (SRF). Chi-square test of independence was used to ascertain if there was any
relationship between the students’ academic achievement in Agricultural Science and
their attitudes to the study of Agricultural Science as a subject.

What supports students to stay at university?
This document discusses research into why some first-year university students have doubts about continuing their studies but ultimately decide to stay. The research found that approximately one-third of first-year students seriously consider withdrawing. Students who doubt are more likely to have a poorer university experience and cite reasons related to their course for doubting. Developing a sense of belonging was found to influence students' decisions to persist despite doubts. The research recommends universities support student transition, improve relationships with staff, help students make informed choices, and foster social integration to reduce doubting and improve retention.
impact of social media on the mental health of secondary school students
This study examined the relationship between social media usage and mental health among 200 secondary school students in Patna, Bihar. The key findings were:
1) Facebook was the most popular social media platform used. Usage varied in terms of time spent and number of friends/groups.
2) The majority of students had average mental health scores, while some had high scores.
3) A moderate negative correlation was found between social media usage and mental health scores, indicating more usage is linked to poorer mental health.
4) No significant differences were found in mental health between gender or school type (public vs. private).

This presentation outlines the main factors that have been found by previous research studies, including those by UKCISA and the British Council, which determine the quality of the international student experience. It then shows how universities can interrogate the extensive data sets that already exist, for example from the National Student Satisfaction (NSS) survey and internal institutional records of students’ progression and achievement, to assess their performance on a number of dimensions. Finally, it highlights the importance of continually communicating with international students to understand and respond to their changing needs, drawing on the experience of Nottingham Trent University.

In this study, we investigated challenges facing the effective teaching and learning of Agricultural Science in public secondary schools of Ibadan North local government area of Oyo state and ways of handling such challenges. We also examined students’ attitudes to Agricultural Science as a subject finding out whether students’ attitudes to the subject had any relationship with their performance in the subject. The population for this study was made up of all Agricultural Science teachers, Vice Principals, Principals and SSS II students offering Agricultural Science in all public secondary schools in Ibadan North local government area of Oyo State, Nigeria. Furthermore, simple random sampling technique was used to select three schools from all the public secondary schools in the area. A total of thirty Agricultural Science teachers, Vice Principals, Principals and one hundred SSS II students in the selected schools constituted the sample size. Two different structured questionnaire were administered. The first one was for the teachers. It addressed challenges facing Agricultural Science as a subject with suggested ways of managing the challenges. The other questionnaire was for the students. It addressed their attitudes to the subject.
The two instruments used a four-point likert assessment scale. Reliability index value was obtained for the research instruments using Cronbach’s Alpha. Agricultural Science Achievement Test was conducted for the students. The questions were selected using item analysis technique. The performance of the students in the Achievement Test was categorized using the standard values of the Students’ Result Format (SRF). Chi-square test of independence was used to ascertain if there was any
relationship between the students’ academic achievement in Agricultural Science and
their attitudes to the study of Agricultural Science as a subject.

- 6. Hypothesis The loan from PTPTN are not enough to support student’s expenses because the cost of education are not affordable to everyone.
- 7. Methodology • Interview Short interview is done to get the overview of the research. • Survey We conduct a survey on how the student manage their money in a month. The survey was conducted in student’s hostel. • Questionare The questionare is distributed among the student around the campus. There is 50 sheets of questionare that have been prepared.

- 17. Students agreed that the loan are not enough because PTPTN do not fully covered their expenses. But having PTPTN loan helps them much in pursuing their higher education.
