There are different types of camera shots that filmmakers use to tell stories visually. Some of the main shots include extreme long shots to establish locations from a distance, wide shots and long shots to show full or partial figures, medium shots for conversations, close-ups to add emotion, and point-of-view shots to show what a character sees. Shots are selected based on the information and emotions they aim to convey to the audience.
