This document discusses airport systems and provides three examples. It defines an airport as a place where aircraft regularly take off and land, with buildings for handling passengers and freight. An airport system includes infrastructure, equipment, and software/hardware that work together. The three examples given are high speed people movers to transport passengers between terminals, and next generation baggage loading systems for both wide body and narrow body aircraft.
