Mandatory Training:
This Shouldn’t Be New To You!
• “Employees who have direct contact with children” who work for “school entities and independent
contractors of school entities” must be provided with training by employer pursuant to 24 P.S. 1205.6
• Minimum of three hours every five years
• Trains school employees in the three Rs:
• Recognizing signs of abuse
• When and how to report
• Maintaining appropriate relationships with students
