What is it...
•Abstract Expressionism is an art movement in which artists
basically applied paint rapidly and with force to their canvases in
an effort to show feelings and emotions
• Inspired by the Surrealist idea; art should come from unconscious
mind
• It’s purpose is to create new forms of expression that were more
personal
