My Internship was
at
The Learning Zone offers bundle of interactive activities for
children between the ages of 4 to 17 years.
It provides programs and activities that build
children’s confidence, expand their skills and
stimulate their interest in Knowledge.
My colleagues and I were divided into two groups:
Nutty Scientists Kidz Art
I worked in the Nutty Scientists section. It is all
about Chemistry and experiments that is intended
for children.
Learning
Fun
What I have done there:
I was given 7 files, one of them was a PowerPoint file and the others
were word files. The number of words vary between 800 to 3,119
words. I have done all the files that they gave me. The files were
workshops and experiments such as “Good Vibrations “, “Water
Cycle“, “Catapults #1“ and so on.
Difficulties that I faced there:
• The source text wasn’t originally written in English. It
was written in the Spanish language then they
translated it to English. so there are a lot of mistakes.
• I encountered some of the special terms like “inclined
plane“ and “ turbines “.
• I encountered a few abbreviation such as “ PWBC “
• I encountered a few new terms that I didn’t know
before
How did I overcome those difficulties:
• I overcame those difficulties using electronic dictionaries
or searching for the term.
• I used to ask Ms. Shoa’a for an explanation for the term
or case.
What I have learned there:
• I learned to adapt to any
situation I go through
• I learned how to manage my time
• I have learned to submit the work
that I should have done on time.
They were some advantages and disadvantages there:
Advantages:
• It is located near my house
• It was quiet and clean place
• The environment was good
for work productivity
Disadvantages:
• The internet wasn’t functioning
well
• The language they use
generally is a basic language.
• Only written translation is
available
•The staff didn’t communicate
with us
The place
They told us to stay in the meeting room but we decided to go to the
cafeteria because the meeting room was small and uncomfortable. The
atmosphere in the cafeteria was much better.
Also we should bring our laptops everyday. They didn’t have extra
laptops for us.
I will take you to a journey to The Learning Zone.
Journey
’
Let’s go!
Reception
Lab and dining room
Meeting room vs Cafeteria
Where I used to sit everyday 
Eat to work better! ;)
We
celebrated
the
last
day
there
Certificate of Appreciation
Our journey ends now, hope you all
enjoyed it! 
Recommended:
I would prefer other places for internship like
hospitals, companies and plants. Because you will get
to experience a variety of interesting and
challenging tasks.
Conclusion:
To conclude my presentation I will just say that if
I didn’t get much benefits there that doesn’t necessarily
mean I didn’t enjoyed the experience there. It was a new
thing for me I really enjoyed the period that I spent there.
Thank you for listening!
