This document summarizes a class trip taken by students and teachers from courses 1oA, 1oB, and 1oC to study the Armenteira river in Meis, Portugal. The trip notes biodiversity observed in the river including various macroinvertebrate and plant species. Habitat features of the river like rapids, water flow, and river bottom composition are also described. The class studied macroinvertebrates and took photos during their visit to the river and a nearby water mill.
