3. BASIC FACTS GALWAY

- The river that goes across the city is called Corrib.
7. THE FLAG
• This tricolor flag is composed of three vertical stripes of
equal dimensions: green, white and orange.
• The green color represents the catholics, the white color represents
the peace and the orange color represents the protestants of Ireland.
8. SHAMROCK
• In Ireland the shamrock is very
important and acquires even more special
meaning on St Patrick´s day.
• The legends tells that Saint Patrick was next
to a group of Celts.
9. LEPRECHAUM
• Leprechaum is a male esprit who lives in
ireland.
• They usually adopt the form of
old men who enjoy doing pranks.
22. The Irish Dance
• We went to a dance academy at night and we learned differents steps
of the irish dance but it was a dissaster.

23. OUR HOST FAMILY
• The host family of laura was called: Anne Sweeny and she had a son.
• The host family of Pablo and Dani was called: Eileen and she had a
daugther.
• The host family of Migue and Manolo was called: Mary and she had a
son and a daugther
• The host family of Marta and Ana was called: Maura and she had two
sons and a daugther.
All our families were the best!
25. THE FOOD
• In Ireland they have different meal times and it was strange for us.
Also they put a lot of food in the plate.

26. NEW FRIENDS
We met spanish people because they were studying for a year here.
They are: Jose, Lulu and Lupi.
27. CONCLUSION
• We think that we have done the best trip ever! We would repeat this
journey 1000 times more because we had great moments, we
laughed and learned a lot with all the people there! And here there is
