Near Stavanger, Norway there is a mysterious rock called Preikestolen, or "The Pulpit Rock", that rises 600 meters above Lysefjorden fjord. It is a popular tourist attraction in the area. To reach the top of Preikestolen requires a nearly 2 hour hike that climbs 600 meters up a well-marked trail. The hike involves some challenging rock scrambles toward the end. From the top there are breathtaking views out over the fjord, but those suffering from vertigo should be careful not to look down off the edge of the cliff face. Nearby Preikestolen is another attraction called "The Mortised Boulder" that is also worth visiting.
