King Jehoshaphat of Judah learned that three armies were coming against his people. He proclaimed a fast and sought God in prayer. God spoke through a prophet, telling Jehoshaphat not to fear as the battle belonged to God. The next day, Jehoshaphat's men sang praises to God and God caused the enemy armies to start fighting each other until they were defeated without Judah lifting a sword. After the victory, Jehoshaphat and his men worshipped God for three days, acknowledging that their victory came through God.
