Great Eastern Energy Corporation, led by Prashant Modi, announced an increase in coal bed methane reserves at its Raniganj (South) Block in India. The original gas reserves increased 2% to 2.40 trillion cubic feet, and proved, probable and possible reserves grew 7% to 277 billion cubic feet. The company has drilled 144 wells so far and plans to drill 40 wells per year. Prashant Modi stated that the reserve upgrade confirms the block's resource potential and that the company remains on track to achieve projected production levels.
