INTRODUCTION
 Contactless charging technology enables contactless power transfer from a power
source such as charger to a load such as a mobile device conveniently across an air
gap by eliminating the bunch of wire. Contactless power transmission involves the
exchange of power without the need for physical connections.
 Wireless Charging Systems (WCS) have been proposed in high-power applications,
including EVs , and plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) in stationary applications. In
comparison with plug-in charging systems, WCS can bring more advantages in the
form of simplicity, reliability, and user friendliness.
MOTIVATION
 The motivation towards working in this project is to charge the
battery by using contactless charger.
 The technology will replace cables and standardize on one
interface, potentially being able to charge battery.
 The project is meant to charge quickly and efficiently by
inductive coupling without the help of wires.

The wireless charging systems can be divided into two
types:
 Static Wireless Charging
 Dynamic Wireless Charging
STATIC WIRELESS CHARGING
 As the name indicates, the vehicle gets charged when it remains static. So here we
could simply park the EV at the parking spot or in garage which is incorporated
with WCS. Transmitter is fitted underneath the ground and receiver is arranged in
vehicle’s underneath. To charge the vehicle align the transmitter and receiver and
leave it for charging. The charging time depends on the AC supply power level,
distance between the transmitter & receiver and their pad sizes.
 This SWCS is best to build in areas where EV is being parked for a certain time
interval.
Dynamic Wireless Charging System
As the name indicates here vehicle get charged while in motion. The
power transfers over the air from a stationary transmitter to the receiver
coil in a moving vehicle. By using DWCS EV's travelling range could
be improved with the continuous charging of its battery while driving
on roadways and highways. It reduces the need for large energy storage
which further reduce the weight of the vehicle.

CONCLUSION
 This paper illustrates a method for contactless transfer of
electric energy.
 Zero-emission public transportation has become an
important issue around the word.

In comparison with plug-in charging systems, WCS can bring more advantages in the form of simplicity, reliability, and user friendliness.

MOTIVATION  The motivation towards working in this project is to charge the battery by using contactless charger.  The technology will replace cables and standardize on one interface, potentially being able to charge battery.  The project is meant to charge quickly and efficiently by inductive coupling without the help of wires.
  • 6. WIRELESS CHARGING SYSTEMS The wireless charging systems can be divided into two types:  Static Wireless Charging  Dynamic Wireless Charging
  • 7. STATIC WIRELESS CHARGING  As the name indicates, the vehicle gets charged when it remains static. So here we could simply park the EV at the parking spot or in garage which is incorporated with WCS. Transmitter is fitted underneath the ground and receiver is arranged in vehicle’s underneath. To charge the vehicle align the transmitter and receiver and leave it for charging. The charging time depends on the AC supply power level, distance between the transmitter & receiver and their pad sizes.  This SWCS is best to build in areas where EV is being parked for a certain time interval.
  • 8. Dynamic Wireless Charging System As the name indicates here vehicle get charged while in motion. The power transfers over the air from a stationary transmitter to the receiver coil in a moving vehicle. By using DWCS EV's travelling range could be improved with the continuous charging of its battery while driving on roadways and highways. It reduces the need for large energy storage which further reduce the weight of the vehicle.
