Strong evidence of latent gender difference remains.
• Substantial gap exists between the number of female
and male patent applicants.
• Number of female attorneys and agents to be
dramatically lower than that of male practitioners.
• The Software's are mostly registered in names of
males despite the fact that more females are working
in software companies.

• History is evident that the works of an artist, writer, and
musician are mostly dominated by men.
• Only few women’s work were know at professional front.
• Out side the professional front the creative work by
women were consider as taboo.
• In some cases, creative works by talented women were

available to measure women’s

17. WOMEN IPR PROGRAM BY GOVERNMEN
OF INDIA
• Government of India through Patent facilitating
Center implements Women Scientists Scheme on
IPR.
• Various scheme aims to train women scientists
having qualifications in science/ engineering/
medicine or allied areas in the area of Intellectual
Property Rights for a period of one year.

scientists to gear up in creating,
protecting and managing intellectual
property in India.

• Woman are the backbone to preserve and
protect IP.
• There is a need to make concrete efforts
towards facilitating the incorporation of
women’s knowledge through development
plans.
