The existing police complaint system is time consuming and not user friendly. It does not adequately address complaints from impoverished families and overburdens officers. The proposed new system would allow online registration, complaint filing, and searching of records by police stations and citizens. It would have modules for stations, citizens, crimes, victims, search, and administration. The new system is feasible economically by reducing costs, technically by using database software, and behaviorally by facilitating change, though some resistance is expected. Resources are also available to implement the new computerized system.
