2. INTRODUCTION
We all understand the importance of school student transport as part of
the educational process and a main pillar of student discipline when moving
to and from school.
Moreover, it's a priority to our whole society that we maintain the safety
of our students and establish communication between student custodians,
bus supervisors and schools. This can be achieved by providing a user-
friendly smart mobile app. which contributes to the establishment of such
communication and enhancement of the educational system's success.
This, also, embodies our rational government's plans for our country to be
amongst the best world countries by 2021. Undoubtedly, this Project aims
to maintain the health and safety of our students who represent the most
critical asset and future of this country.
3. BIRTH OF THE IDEA
While I was walking in the morning, as my usual sport, I noticed school buses
moving everywhere and blowing horns to declare the beginning of a new school
day. Students, accompanied with their parents or servants or alone, were waiting
outside their homes. One the other hand, buses were either waiting students for
long periods of time, in a hurry that they blow their noisy horns to speed up
students or bored of waiting and moving fast in order to reach on time.
Then, important questions came to my mind like:
How to save these students from the risks of bad weather, kidnapping, etc?
How to protect our children, the apples of our eyes?
How to save students' time of waiting for the buses outside their houses?
How to save bus drivers' time of waiting for long periods which leads them either
to be disturbed by others or drive fast hastily and endanger our children's
safety?
4. PROJECT IDEA
This idea has emanated from several notices when trying to
answer the above mentioned questions. It starts with an important
input: the country is keen to maintain the safety of its students who
represent its future; avoid a lot negatives and problems which was,
and still, worrying custodians; and maintain, and rationally use, its
resources.
It's all about a smart software to be installed on the custodians'
mobile phones. That application enables them to view bus routes
and the time it takes to reach to the student. This is how
custodians shall rest assured that the student is already in the bus
and on his/her way to school.
The idea shall help upgrade the means of transport and link them
to advanced technology, a matter which shall integrate with the
orientation towards smart government in an easy and safe way
coping with the developments and visions of our rational
government.
After this Project proves successful at schools, I hope that it is
implemented at various facilities like universities, colleges, public

safe transportation which satisfies the highest requirements
of safety and peace of mind and saves energy using
modern technology tools.
6. PROJECT MISSION
To upgrade school transportation system to reach the
international levels in terms of communication between
custodians and bus supervisors in a manner maintaining our
children's lives and time and in consistency with the vision
of our rational government and developments witnessed by
our beloved country.
7. PROJECT GOALS

8. First: Student
• To save the time of waiting for the bus, where the student gets out at the
same time when the bus arrives;
• To avoid the bad weather conditions suffered by students such as heat,
cold and fog;
• To provide students with a safe environment which protects them against
kidnapping, threat and rape; and
• To wait for the bus on the right time and avoid the possibility of missing it.
Second: Custodian
• The custodian shall feel assured about the child because he/she is not
waiting outside the house;
• The custodian shall, remotely with no need for direct contact, be assured
that the child has mounted the school bus; and
• In case a student is absent on any day, the bus supervisor can be told so
by the custodian.
9. Third: Community
It can be divided into:
1- Bus drivers & School Administrations
• A clear knowledge of student places;
• No need to wait for students and disturb others;
• Avoiding speed and rashness to arrive on time, which reduces
accidents;
• Knowing the numbers and identities of students using each bus;
and
• School administration shall have an advance idea about
students' attendance or absence.
2- Economic Resources
• Making the best use and maintenance of time; and
• Saving fuel by reducing waiting times, which protects the
environment against pollution.
10. Project ExecutionSteps:
• It starts with an idea and trying to transform it into reality.
• Seeking the assistance of a specialized company in the field of
mobile smart application.
• Cooperating with the company to develop real software, where work
is distributed to three phases within 80 days.
• Testing the software by using it at one of the schools and modifying
it as the results of such test may require.
• The project shall be assessed by the targeted categories: students,
custodians, bus drivers and school administrations.
• Introducing the Project nationally by presenting it to the concerned
public and private entities:
o Ministry of Education,
o Emirates Transport,
o Abu Dhabi Education Council and
o Private Schools.
