This document discusses cell structure and function. It defines structure as the components something is made of and how they are arranged. Function is defined as what a structure can do or its purpose. For cells, structure determines function. Cells are very small, around 1/100,000 of a square centimeter, and most of what we know about cells has been learned in the last 25 years. The document instructs students to create notecards on cell organelles covering name, function, structure, and sketches to help study them.
