Toru Dutt was the first Indian poetess to write in English. She is considered an important Indo-Anglian poet and translator. Savitri retold the immortal legend from the Mahabharata of Satyavan's death and his wife Savitri succeeding in getting his soul back from Yama, the god of death. Our Casuarina Tree was an autobiographical poem about memories of playing under a tree with her siblings who had since passed away.

The excessive training causes the nightingale to burst a vein and die, but the frog dismisses blame by claiming she was too prone to influence.

The frog manipulated the nightingale into thinking he was a famous musician who could teach her, but his training exhausted her and caused her death. The frog was actually proud and insensitive to others.

Naseem Thebo was a renowned Sindhi short story writer from Pakistan. She was born into a landlord family in Shikarpur and received her early education in a village. She went on to earn an MA in Economics from the University of Sindh. She was inspired to write by her mother, who was the first Sindhi Pakistani female novelist, and by the Sindhi Sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai. Her short stories often depicted village life and the struggles of women, and were published in popular Sindhi literature journals of her time.

My mother at sixty six STD 12
