(1 COR. 12:4-8)
      The word of
       knowledge
The power to change your
        attitude
 "the word of wisdom," which related to NEW
  revelations
 Wisdom penetrates deeper than knowledge.
Knowledge relates to things that are to be
done. Wisdom, to things eternal: hence,
  wisdom is not, like knowledge,
 A spiritual gift is a supernatural ability
sovereignty bestowed upon every Christian by
the Holy Spirit, enabling him or her to carry
out their divinely assigned function as a
  member of Christ’s body.
These abilities are not native
 within us; they are transmitted
 to us
Spiritual gifts are given to us to
enable us to do what we cannot
 do in and of ourselves
Spiritual gifts are spiritual in
 that they produce spiritual
 results
MOSES JUDGE THE PEOPLE OF GOD,
WERE GIVEN A PORTION OF HIS
  (MOSES’) SPIRIT TO ENABLE AND
 EQUIP THEM FOR THEIR MINISTRY
(NUMBERS 11:25). ELISHA WAS GIVEN
  A DOUBLE PORTION OF ELIJAH’S
SPIRIT (2 KINGS 2:9-15). SAUL WAS
 CHOSEN BY GOD AND DESIGNATED
AS THE KING, AND THEN HE WAS
ENDOWED WITH THE POWER OF THE
  HOLY SPIRIT (1 SAMUEL 9:15–10:13
WHAT WE THINK ABOUT WILL
    DETERMINE WHAT KIND OF
     ATTITUDE WE WILL HAVE
 Your outlook on life begins with your
  thinking.
 Your attitude affects your
  relationships, family, job, friends
  and your view of yourself.
 You can’t prevent a negative thought
from entering your mind but you can
reject it when it does come
 You are influenced by your attitude
WE MUST LEARN HOW TO
   IMPROVE OUR OWN
ATTITUDE AND DEAL WITH
  PEOPLE WHO HAVE A
     NEGATIVE OR
 DESTRUCTIVE ATTITUDE
MANY OF US ARE BLIND
TO OUR ATTITUDES, WE
  KNOW A PROBLEM
 EXIST IN OUR LIVES,
 BUT WE ARE PRETTY
 SURE IT’S CAUSED BY
  SOMEONE ELSE….
WE MAY EVEN BELIEVE
  WE’RE JUST GOOD AT
  DISCERNING OTHERS’
PROBLEMS AND CONSIDER
 A CRITICAL ATTITUDE A
KIND OF SPIRITUAL GIFT…
ONE OF THE BEST
THINGS WE CAN DO FOR
OURSELVES IS TO HAVE
    AN ATTITUDE
   ADJUSTMENT…
TIME FOR AN ATTITUDE
     ADJUSTMENT
Jonah 1:1-3
Jonah 2:1-2
Jonah 3:1-5 & 10
Jonah 4:
Jonah found enemies he could
not love and did not expect God
 to love
WHAT DOES THIS TEACH
         US
 God’s redemptive program includes
  everyone
 Of all God’s enemies, Assyria had
  been the cruelest
 People with bad reputations can
  know God
 God gave Nineveh a chance when no
  one else would.
 Jonah reminds us that we must call all
  people to repentance
 God wants our enemies to repent so that
they can find relationship apart from
  judgment..
 God will give a second chance.
 Jonah was a reluctant prophet who ran
from the responsibility of revealing God’s
  message.
 When we seek to run away from the call
of God, we can usually find others ready
  to help us escape.
