This is the first of a series of presentations about the development of Christian character, based on a study of the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23. The presentation was prepared by Dr Kevin Smith, Vice-Principal of the South African Theological Seminary.
Based on "Respectable Sins" by Jerry Bridges, this lesson describes how vile, ugly, and destructive sin truly is. In order to truly apply the remedy for sin, we have to see it for what it is. Sin is rebellion against the Law of God, but it is also despising the Person of God.

Contextualized presentation of the salvation message for Muslims. This presentation addresses the foundational understanding of the nature of God as the basis for dealing with humankind's problem of shame and dishonor through Isa al-Masiih.
Our theories about God are our theology.
It is well to value them, to try our best to
keep them pure and high. But the deeper
question is. What is our religion? What are
our real thoughts of God ? In that deep and
secret place of our inmost consciousness, where
all our desires and feelings and hopes and
aspirations are born, what is God to us ? This
is the great question, the searching question.
And on the answer to it our peace, our happi-
ness, our usefulness depend.
Follow Me! - Francisco C. Xavier - Emmanuel - Spirit.pdfMashaL38
This is a book that speaks about the connection between the individual and God, and about when we ask the Divine Providence to help achieve our goals we have to bear in mind that we also have to do our part, that it will not be given if we don't make it too, that means, we must to deserve it to receive it, and the way to do it, is by following Jesus' teachings.
Homily: 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time C 2022.docxJames Knipper
This weekend we hear the parable of the widow and the judge. The Gospel writer begins with a summation that the parable talks “about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary.” But if we just left it there, we would miss the secondary and deeper meaning behind the story. What is it? Check it out…

Coming Home To Our True Identity - Charles Razzellrfochler
Charles Razzell contrasts the attitudes and outcomes for two men who encountered God's power: Simon the Sorcerer and Paul the Apostle (Acts chapters 8 & 9). God calls us to experience sonship and values us accordingly, whereas many of us still tend to assess each other for what we do. The best possible outcome is when we know who we are in Christ and live accordingly; Jesus being the Vine, and we the branches. Pastor Brent Lokker explores the authority Jesus endowed on his ekklesia (assembly), when He declared, “whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19) Brent helps us understand the connection between intimacy and authority: our ability to bear much fruit depends on living in union with Jesus (John 15:5). It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

2. UNANSWERED
QUESTIONS
When there’s a demand
for answers, we often try

something out that will

3. PHILIPPIANS 2:6-9
He existed in the form of God, yet He gave no thought to
seizing equality with God as His supreme prize. Instead He
emptied Himself of His outward glory by reducing Himself to
the form of a lowly servant. He became human. He humbled
Himself and became vulnerable, choosing to be revealed as a
man and was obedient. He was a perfect example, even in
His death - a criminal’s death by crucifixion. Because of
that obedience, God exalted Him and multiplied His
greatness. He has now been given the greatest of all names.
4. SURRENDER
To agree to stop fighting, hiding, resisting;
to give control to someone else.
5. Jesus uses His power
to heal, to love and
to make all things
work together for
our good. We may
not fully understand
His ways, but when
we know His true

6. MATTHEW 18:1-6
At that time the disciples came to ask Jesus, “Who is considered to
be the greatest in heaven’s kingdom realm?”
Jesus called a little one to His side and said to them, “Learn this
well, unless you dramatically change your way of thinking and
become teachable, and learn about heaven’s kingdom realm with the
wide-eyed wonder of a child, you will never be able to enter in.
Whoever continually humbles himself to become like this gentle child
is the greatest one in heaven’s kingdom realm. And if you tenderly
care for this little one on my behalf, you are tenderly caring for me.
But if anyone abuses one of these little ones who believe in me, it
would be better for him to have a heavy boulder tied around his neck
and hurled into the deepest sea than to face the punishment he
deserves.”
7. PSALM 139:23-24
(PASSION TRANSLATION)
God, I invite Your searching

me through and through; find
