Christina Powell interned with a private brand company over the summer of 2016. Her responsibilities included running and analyzing weekly selling reports, using internal systems to create and update styles, conducting comparison research on competitors' products, and interacting with vendors, designers, and quality teams regarding new product development. She also presented sales and color research findings at meetings with upper management and helped guide decisions around fashion direction and product offerings. Additionally, she attended classroom sessions to learn various aspects of the business and witnessed leadership changes with the hiring of a new CEO.
